Suzuki Swift Sport
Introduction
Purchased in November 2009 at an end-of-year price, it's great fun to drive with its stiff suspension, close ratio transmission and revvy 1.6 engine. This particular car is one of a few that has NZ-made leather seats. And, not many cars on the road have a racing version available.
I'll be documenting a few maintenance procedures and subtle mods to improve the comfort and maintainability of the car.
1. Maintenance
1.1 Engine oil and filter change
1.2 Transaxle oil change
1.3 Washing advice
1.4 Flush Brake and Clutch Fluid
2. Issues
2.1 Dash rattles
2.2 98 RON fuel availability in NZ (external BP site, select your location and "BP Ultimate")
2.3 Creaky clutch pedal / master cylinder
3. Misc
3.2 Fitting a space-saver spare tyre
3.3 Improving the lumbar support in the front seats
3.5 Installing an engine oil temperature gauge
3.7 Data logging with the Car Chip Pro
3.8 Fabricating and installing a winter radiator block
